COMMUNICATION
All emails must be replied to with the word “confirmed”. If the performer does not reply with “confirmed” the booking not confirmed. Responses to ads over social media ARE NOT official bookings are only confirmed over email localbgtalent@gmail.com.
LATE TALENT
When late for covid tests, fittings, or shooting dates performers must alert Localbgtalent@gmail.com their ETA immediately. Production reserves the right to cancel engagements According to the ACTRA IPA. Local Bg Talent reserves the right to retain any Pre Paid commission.
CANCELLATION BY TALENT
Due to the global pandemic of Covid 19, Some productions require 2 negative Covid tests before allowed on set. Payment for Cancellations by the performer before shooting and after Covid testing will not be honoured by production. Local BG Talent Reserves the right to retain any commission for cancelled bookings that are within 24 hours of the booked shoot date. After 2 unwarranted cancellations Local Bg Talent will no longer represent the performer on roster.
PAY RATES
NON UNION Performers are paid $14.25/h unless told otherwise, sometimes non union performers are upgraded to “YELLOW/Permit” and SSE rates.
ACTRA MEMBERS rates are subject to updates every year. If the chart below is not up to date please follow this link, or check the ACTRA Toronto website for the updated rates.
COMMISSION
Payments are preferred through E-transfer, there may be alternative arrangements for payment on a case to case basis, just contact us to arrange payment.

Option 1: Pre-Paid Flat RATE Commission (SAVE MONEY!)
- Payment is due upon firm booking12h before the call-time of the performer on set of their shooting day unless otherwise arranged with Agent.
- AMOUNT DUE will be prompted by Local BG Talent in a final confirmation email to choose this payment option.
- COVID 19 Tests are not charged commission with this option.

***UPGRADES**** It is on an honour system, if your rate was upgraded on set we appreciate that you are honest and pay the commission on it
OPTION #2 – “The old fashioned way”
- Commission “the old fashioned way” which means after talent receives payment from production the rate is 15% + HST (including covid tests, fittings and specialty rentals)
- Performers must send a screen shot or photo of their pay-stub to localbgtalent@gmail.com
- Non Union Performers must write the agency address on their contracts if they should choose this option by request over email.
***All commission rates for any other engagements such as, Speaking roles, SIPS, non union productions, prop rentals, and all off camera jobs can be negotiated on an individual basis. ****Failure to pay commission will revoke membership of the Local Bg Talent roster. ****
